DOM tubing is quite a bit stronger in tension, and a lot stronger in resistance to bending in comparison to the ERW tube. DOM tubing is produced to more exact ID and OD and tolerances. DOM Tubing has the highest weld strength that is possible today.

Drawn Over Mandrel Tubing is an electric resistance welded tube with all flash removed. DOM Tubing is produced to more exact OD and ID tolerances and better finishes without a seam. DOM tubing is suited for a wide range of structural and bushing applications. Widely used in stressful applications requiring higher quality, uniformity, strength, and soundness.
